When did you start blogging? How did you come up with your blogs name?

I LOVE to blog! When I discovered blogging I was hooked, but sometimes in life you get mixed up with every day situations that You forget or just don’t have time. I’m VERY passionate about bringing a different perspective in different situations in life. Such as being a marine wife and the ups and downs we go through living the military lifestyle, or raising twins while pregnant in an area where you don’t know anyone, to eating a healthy meal with your family with picky eaters! I LOVE it and would hope to bring my crazy, different lifestyle to my blog and at the same time help and encourage you!
Chocolate Confetti Cake
I’ve never made this with the confetti added…not sure how it will turn out! I will get the stuff and give it a shot this weekend!
1 Cup of sugar
1 1/8 cup flour
1/2 of cocoa powder
1 TSP baking soda
1 TSP salt
1/2 cup of butter
1 egg
1 TSP vanilla extract
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups of multi-color sprinkles (confetti)Â You could even toss in a few M&Ms for good measure! lol
- Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees and grease your pan. ( I like to do cupcakes instead of a cake…up to you.)
- Mix together the flour, salt, baking soda, and cocoa.
- In a different bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until it is a light and fluffy consistency.
- Add in the vanilla and the egg. Mix well.
- Add in the flour mixture.
- Mix in the white chocolate chips and sprinkles.
- Bake for about 30-40 minutes. (Until a tooth-pic comes out clean.)
Icing:
1/2 cup butter
1 TSP vanilla extract
4 cups confectioners sugar
2 TBSP milk
- Melt the butter.
- Cream together the butter, vanilla, sugar and milk. (If you want to make it colorful you can either add in sprinkles or a bit of food coloring.)
Well…there you have it! Another awesome recipe with an interesting Sit around!
Do you ever write in bed? Oh and what do you think…will the sprinkles show up in a chocolate cake like they do in my white ones?
