Vampire Samson is having a major personal problem! What man, especially a vampire of his age and status, wants to have to admit to anyone (let alone a shrink) that he can’t get it up anymore!! After some encouragement from his friends he decides to talk to the shrink and see if he can help. I mean really, it has been way to long already and he has tried everything he knows with a variety of amazingly hot women with no success!
Delilah is an auditor visiting San Francisco to complete a job. She has no idea what she has gotten herself into when she runs to a strangers house for help after being chased by a stranger in an ally.
Samson has no idea what it is about Delilah that seems to fix his personal problem, but his shrink seems to think that if he can just sate his need on her once he should go back to his normal self. Well…doctors orders are meant to be followed right? Things get a little complicated when Samson realizes that he must find out more about what Delilah is doing here and why someone would want to harm her all while fighting his attraction to her.
I got this book as a free book from Amazon due to being a member of I Love Vampire Novels, which I must say is an amazing site to be a part of! I am leery of free books sometimes because they can be disappointing, however, when I got the email with a short description of this book I simply couldn’t help myself. I mean really, a book about a vampire who can’t get it up?!? This sounds like it could be interesting and hilariously inappropriate all at the same time. I am glad that the description caught my attention because it has led me to an amazing author and book series that I cannot wait to continue reading. (This is where they get you with those darn free book lol read the first one and you will want to buy the rest!!)
Some MAJOR misunderstandings take place during their first encounter that had me laughing and cringing at the same time. The story line was in depth and interesting and kept me hooked from page one. Although the vampire part of the story was pretty typical (no sun, rest during the day, hunger for blood, super fast and strong, etc.) the story itself was unique and romantic enough that I didn’t mind at all. The only “unique-ish” part of the story was the blood-bonding and some of the gifts that the vampires possessed.
OH MY GOD..the love scenes in this book were pretty intense!! I guess when both of the main characters haven’t had any in a while it makes for some explosive lovemaking. The author did a good job of writing the scenes in a way that made you blush a little but wasn’t so crude that you didn’t want to keep reading.
Overall I greatly enjoyed this book and am currently trying to talk my hubby into allowing me to buy a few more of them! Hehe Wish me luck…hopefully I will be able to add a few more reviews to this soon!!
