This week’s Sink of Shame: Loreal Total Repair 5 Hair Balm Review!
So, those of you that have been with me since the beginning of my blog know that I am not exactly kind to my hair.
Over just the past 2 months I have dyed my hair not once, not twice, not three times, but FOUR times!!
Yes, I have dyed my hair a total of four times and even used Color Oops in between one of them! At the moment my hair is an awesome red color that I hope to keep up for a while at least!
As you have probably guessed, dying my hair that much has dried it out quite a bit! I was nervous that I would end up frying my hair and it would look frizzy and awful! This lead me to do some research and find a product that would help my hair survive my dye obsession! lol
I was not very optimistic as I searched through Amazon to find a product that could possibly help my newly formed “hay head”!
However, I found Loreal Total Repair 5! Oh my gosh guys! This stuff totally rocks!
I was super worried at first when I saw how THICK this stuff is.
I guess I wasn’t expecting it to be thick because I have always used conditioners and oils to restore health to my hair. This however, is a balm.
Basically, you wash your hair like normal (I’m still using my John Frieda Radiant Red) and then put on the balm.
You have to leave it on for about 5 minutes to really see a difference. I like to put it on and then shave my legs, this way I don’t feel like I am just standing there doing nothing for 5 minutes lol.
I have been using this product once a week for the past three weeks (twice at most) and have seen awesome results! My hair is soft, smooth and honestly I can’t tell that I have put it through so much!
I am supremely happy with the results! My hair is soft, smooth, and easy to deal with. I barely have to use a straightener on my hair, when before I began using this I had to slowly and meticulously straighten every single strand!
My hair honestly has that awesome “just cut” look and feel that we all love so much!
I will warn you that if you use it more than once or twice a week your hair may start to look a bit greasy. I have heard from other people that use this product that you can leave it on for 30 minutes under a shower cap or plastic bag if you are cheap like me and it will do super wonders for your hair! I have yet to try this but I am curious and may try it in the next few days to see!
